Regarding your concern, I would like to inform you that: updating is the choice of yours. There will be updated versions for bug fix, feature update or new rules and conditions (like GDPR) Hope this could clarify your uncertainty.

Unfortunately not yet, but we assure our themes could work with any WordPress-supported hosting. You should take a glance at WordPress recommendation here. For security, please install SSL certificate & use HTTPS instead of HTTP.
